“On the Road Again” – Galatians 5:1
“It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.” (See Galatians 5:1) When we died to ourselves and were born again with Christ, we checked our old shackles at the door. The world owns the blind. They are puppets on a string. Dancing for nickels. It’s hard to explain the benefits of freedom to someone enjoying slavery. Sadly, that’s 98.675%* of the planet’s humans. (* denotes that zero research was done to support this number. It just seems about right.) Even though the drunk guy thinks he’s running his own life, it’s really the bottle in front of him who’s wearing the pants. He gives his problems to the alcohol at night, who only gives him more problems in the morning. Flip side: When the FREE believers give their problems to Jesus, He starts to make them look like mile markers on the highway when you’re going 100. Whoosh! Whoosh! “What’d that one say? Oh, who cares? Jesus has it handled…”
