“picture me rollin” – Proverbs 16:3
“Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be established.” (See Proverbs 16:3) See that word “commit?” That’s a great word. But, even cooler is what the original Hebrew text says to do: “גֹּל” or “roll” your works. Like a “this is how I roll” type thing. Roll your works – everything you do – towards and in honor of God and you’re set. If it lines up with His plan, He will make it happen for you. And His blueprints are better than your blueprints anyway so how can you get mad if something doesn’t pan out? Ask yourself who’s glory you were ultimately seeking in the first place. It’s really easy to place our own needs first. Just know that He invented life, we just get to enjoy it. And if your goals and dreams aren’t realized here, who’s to say they aren’t really meant to come to fruition in Heaven instead? We’re not playing harps and cloud-hopping when we die, ya know…
