the Bible is my point “A” and “B”
I was looking on YouTube for vids, but like a rabbit hole of never-ending tunnels, I clicked from Illuminati warnings to 9/11 conspiracy to demons caught on film, all the while never feeling satisfied or happy about it, but rather feeling kinda physically ill and…possibly even angry at times. I can’t explain it. There are hundreds upon hundreds – maybe billions? – of videos claiming that everything that has ever scared you is real, and then there is an equal number of videos telling you that all that stuff is fake.
I have since gotten a revelation of my own as I stop to notice this glaring, obvious factual tidbit: The entire world as we know it is designed to keep you in the middle. In a suspended state between belief and disbelief. Your “real” and “fake” have been blended and tossed around. We don’t know what to think half the time because half the time the thinking is done for us. It’s kinda weird and scary and odd to say, but minus “the machines” in charge, life for humans is so likeThe Matrix it’s not even funny. And I know somewhere on this site I’ve made this comparison before, but seriously, come on!
Instead of machines and that “Architect” guy, it’s satan who has pulled the wool over our eyes and made us think, act and react as we do. The only way to rip away that veil, peak behind that curtain, or to have our eyes opened to the truth is to first open the Bible.
Sounds simple, huh? Well, with all due respect, have your hearing checked then. Christians are the laughing stock of the secular world because we’re the very ones trying to get people to wake up. People who would rather keep hitting the snooze button than acknowledge the truth. Some people don’t want to accept God and admit they’re not in control, but guess what? It’s either God at the helm or the devil. There is no third option. Man hasn’t been in control since the apple.
Society, under the leadership of the devil and his crew, has made slaves of all of us, but we Christians have Jesus to lead us out of this captivity. Egypt was a pagan nation with evil spewing from it like a supervolcano back then. Today, the world is really just a larger version of the same Egypt. Different outfits (kind of), but same hardened heart.
If you are a professing Christian on this planet during these dark times, you are in the “roaming the wilderness” stage. God is providing new Manna in the form of whatever you need to sustain your calling. He is good to those who have not forgotten or forsaken Him. The time will come – some say it’s moments away – when those who remained faithful to the Creator of the universe even though the world demanded that they abandon Him will be justly rewarded.
In the meantime…the Holy Spirit dwells within all believers! The same Holy Spirit who gave rise to the many miracles Jesus did while He walked the earth almost 2000 years ago. That same wonderful Spirit empowers us, too! We have gifts – via the Spirit – that will come to our aid in times of need to either help the believer or convert the skeptic. We have not been left on the battlefield without some serious weapons of our own!
1 Now, dear brothers and sisters, regarding your question about the special abilities the Spirit gives us. I don’t want you to misunderstand this. 2 You know that when you were still pagans, you were led astray and swept along in worshiping speechless idols. 3 So I want you to know that no one speaking by the Spirit of God will curse Jesus, and no one can say Jesus is Lord, except by the Holy Spirit.4 There are different kinds of spiritual gifts, but the same Spirit is the source of them all. 5 There are different kinds of service, but we serve the same Lord. 6 God works in different ways, but it is the same God who does the work in all of us.7 A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other. 8 To one person the Spirit gives the ability to give wise advice; to another the same Spirit gives a message of special knowledge.9 The same Spirit gives great faith to another, and to someone else the one Spirit gives the gift of healing. 10 He gives one person the power to perform miracles, and another the ability to prophesy. He gives someone else the ability to discern whether a message is from the Spirit of God or from another spirit. Still another person is given the ability to speak in unknown languages, while another is given the ability to interpret what is being said. 11 It is the one and only Spirit who distributes all these gifts. He alone decides which gift each person should have.1 Corinthians 12:1-11
…and…
7 However, he has given each one of us a special gift through the generosity of Christ. 8 That is why the Scriptures say,“When he ascended to the heights,
he led a crowd of captives
and gave gifts to his people.”9 Notice that it says “he ascended.” This clearly means that Christ also descended to our lowly world. 10 And the same one who descended is the one who ascended higher than all the heavens, so that he might fill the entire universe with himself.11 Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. 12 Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. 13 This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.14 Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth. 15 Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.– Ephesians 4:7-15
…and…
1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.3 Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.4 Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, 5 so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.6 In his grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well. So if God has given you the ability to prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you.7 If your gift is serving others, serve them well. If you are a teacher, teach well. 8 If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly.– Romans 12:1-8
You see? God has equipped us big time. Don’t let anyone tell you these gifts suddenly floated back to Heaven sometime between Pentecost and right now. If they believe that the Holy Spirit is still among us, and in us – which the Spirit is! – then how can they say His power is not also still here? Rest assured, all believers have been given gifts to use for the glory of God against the devil and his plan.
Side note: satan’s new plan is really his old back-up plan. His first plan to overthrow God and take over the universe fell through and he, in turn, fell from grace. So, with that plan shot, he then decided to turn his attention to God’s favorite creations – us humans – and try to make us just as sad, lonely and miserable as he is. To his credit, he’s done a bang up job making this world a junkyard. He’s been able to convince people of all kinds of things like death is God’s fault, wars are fought in the name of Christianity, alcohol and drugs solve problems, sex is designed for whomever and whenever, Christians are close-minded haters, and…a really good lie he’s established around the water cooler: the devil doesn’t even exist.
The devil wants more company in that lake of fire that he’s read so much about in the Book of Revelation. Yea, he can read. He knows his fate. He just wants to drag as many people down with him as he can before his number’s finally up.
This site is meant for the edification of the body of Christ and for bolstering the faith of the believer. It is also a place where the lost and hurt can come and see what true, Bible-based Christianity is all about. My site is a full-fledged Christian resource. You will find no random floating vids dedicated to anything that doesn’t point to the realm of Christianity.
Obviously, I will continue to have certain videos and photos of supernatural phenomena, but they will be pointed towards our faith and the power of God over everything. Perhap’s I’ll even throw a Scripture verse with a vid at times…
That’s why I love to start and end my research with the Bible. Truth is best found at the source. God’s Word is my point “A” and “B.” All else is stuff in-between.
Here’s a cool photo I found. Kudos to whoever made it.
