“makes sense to me” – Proverbs 11:12
“He who despises his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding keeps silent.” (See Proverbs 11:12) It’s interesting to note that the word “sense” in this verse literally translates from Hebrew as “heart.” So the man who despises his neighbor lacks heart. Perhaps it got changed to “sense” because our hearts typically seem to have way more of it than our brains.
