“the grass IS greener!” – Psalm 18:18-19
“They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the LORD was my stay. He brought me forth also into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.” (See Psalm 18:18-19) The Lord LOVES everyone because He is the true Father of everyone, but He DELIGHTS in (is happy with, blesses, is well-pleased concerning) His followers. You can totally love someone without liking what they do or how they live. And, then, as love goes, you shouldn’t try to fix the person, but most definitely – if you really care – you try to Scripturally steer them back into the right lane and out of the way of oncoming traffic. But, this is a side quest for today. The verse before us says that God will deliver the believer from evil when it shows up, even when it does an unexpected pop-in at the worst time possible. He will save us from the darkness – now, and later on in Heaven. If you follow, He will lead. Greener pastures are just ahead.
