If you remember sometime ago we had a listing on a casting site for Lyra Erso. Gabriele Fritz was doubling for a character named “Lyra Erso.” At the time we pondered if this was Felicity Jones’ character who we later figured out was Jyn.  Our best guess is she’s a relative of Jyn in the film.

On IMDb there is a listing for Lyra Erso and it is played by Valene Kane:

Gabriele Fritz, the double we found listed is the same exact height as Valene Kane. That makes for a pretty good match.

Her mini-bio on IMDb:

Valene Kane was born on January 30, 1987 in Newry, County Down, Northern Ireland. She is an actress, known for ’71 (2014), The Fading Light (2009) and Jump (2012).

Kane was born in 1987 which makes too close to Jyn’s age to be playing her mother during the time of the heist for the Death Star plans. So Lyra is either Jyn’s sister in the present time or her mother in flash backs.

IMDb can be edited by people so there’s a chance she’s not even an actor in the film. But the statistics for the double lining up is a pretty good indication she may in fact be Lyra Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
