This isn’t huge news by any means, and I say that because this has been talked about by various Web sites for months, but today during Star Wars Celebration Europe Phil Lord and Chris Miller brought Alden Ehrenreich on stage to reveal that he is playing Han Solo in Han Solo: A Star Wars Stoy. Ehrenreich seemed very excited to be playing Han Solo. He was the first actor who auditioned for the role. During his audition, he screen tested with Chewbacca in the Millennium Falcon.
