Today is a very sad day for Star Wars fans. Kenny Baker, who played R2-D2 in Star Wars Episodes I-VI, has passed away. He was 81 years old. I had the pleasure to meet Kenny several times over the past few years and he was the kindest. The news comes from Lucasfilm’s Pablo Hildago this morning:

I've made it no secret that R2-D2 was my first Star Wars love. RIP Kenny Baker who helped bring life to my hero.
