Disney Teases AT-AT Constructions for Star Wars-themed Lands
Ever since Disney announced the development of Star Wars-themed Lands at its parks, Star Wars fans have been dying for more details. To this point we haven’t really seen much beyond the concept art a year ago. Yesterday, Disney gave us a little tease on its progress, releasing a video of the construction of two giant AT-ATs (for those keeping score at home that’s pronounced @@) inside what looks to be Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.
The builds don’t look like much yet, but Disney’s video provides a tease at what the planned construction will look like, and the end of the video confirms 2019 as the target year.
As Entertainment Weekly’s Anthony Breznican points out, “[i]n the background of this video you can spot the peak of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Anaheim’s Disneyland, but there’s already a 35-foot AT-AT outside the Star Tours ride in Orlando’s Walt Disney World.”
