Our friends over at the Star Wars Underworld posted earlier today that Star Wars: Episode VIII director Rian Johnson has confirmed on Twitter that they would be shooting Episode VIII on film. The Force Awakens was shot on film while Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is currently being shot on digital.
