Official word on Star Wars: Episode VIII filming dates from Dubrovnik Tourist Board
Our friend Dario has translated this really important bit of information about “Space Bear” (aka Star Wars: Episode VIII). The information comes from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board’s official site:
Dear visitors,
Dubrovnik will soon again be the host of the big american production “Space Bear,” which confirms our city as an attractive filming location.
For a couple of days in March traffic in the Old Town will be specially regulated. We believe this situation will not cause problems to you, and that you will have a pleasant time in Dubrovnik.
Preparations of the sets will happen on the 9th and 10th of March from 6pm to 12am, and preparation for filming and filming itself will happen on 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th and 16th of March, specifically 4am to 4pm for the filming preparations, and 4pm to 4am of the next day for the filming itself.
Thanks for understanding and we wish you a pleasant stay in Dubrovnik
Now we have when the preparations are supposed to take place and when the filming itself is going to take place. Hopefully our super sleuth friends in Dubrovnik keep their eyes peeled for any deviation from that schedule.
It is so exciting to think that Star Wars: Episode VIII is being made right now. I have to admit, when I watch The Force Awakens, I can’t help but daydream about all the extrapolations that will be made from the last film to this one.
A big thanks to Dario for helping us keep the translation as pristine and accurate as possible!
