Today it was announced that Disney Infinity, a Star Wars-heavy video game, was cancelled. But now we have some exciting Star Wars video game news. In 2017 we will see the release of Star Wars Battlefront II as EA CFO Blake Jorgensen confirmed during a conference call. This news is reported by PC Gamer. This is what Jorgensen had to say:

“Next year we’ll see Star Wars Battlefront back with bigger and better worlds, because we now have the new movies to work off [and] not just the historical movies that we used before.”

The next big news is that the unknown Visceral Star Wars game will be released in 2018. Hopefully the next Battlefront game will be better than the first. As much as I love Battlefront, it was missing a storyline and also had repetitive play. I do play it a lot still as it’s very fun. It looks like the sequel will have sequel trilogy stories to be able to play as well. Are you excited for Battlefront II?
