Bob Iger Confirms More Star Wars Films Beyond Episode IX
I’m sure we have heard this news a few times before, but the BBC is confirming that Bob Iger has stated that there will be more Star Wars films beyond the final film in the sequel trilogy, Star Wars Episode IX. Check out what Bob had to say:
“There are five Star Wars films – four more with Episode VII: The Force Awakens – that are in varying stages of development and production,” Disney chairman Bob Iger has told Newsbeat.
“There will be more after that, I don’t know how many, I don’t know how often.”
Its interesting that he said he doesn’t know how often as we all heard there would be one every year for who knows how long. I would assume we will get another trilogy focusing on new characters but mixed with sequel trilogy characters like Rey and Finn, that as of course if they survive through Episode VIII and IX. But until that time we have five upcoming Star Wars films to look forward too!
