Dave Filoni posted a picture in honor of Star Wars day of Captain Rex’s Season 3 Star Wars Rebels armor. Dave says:

“Rex in Season 3 looking like classic Clone Wars” 

Rex didn’t use his helmet in Season 2 of Rebels but it was present. Ezra did however use it. So it looks like Rex will be getting into trooper mode again. At this point Rex thinks Ahsoka is dead, so could this be a way of paying tribute to his fallen friend? Dave also posted a image of what looked to be shoulder armor but we are still unclear as to what it is. Check out the images below:

I’m almost wondering if this is Kanan’s shoulder armor with the classic “Blue Jaig” eyes painted on, similar to Rex’s helmet. I’m sure we will know for sure at this July’s Star Wars Celebration Europe.
