Mads Mikkelsen says he’s not the bad guy in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Today a few little tidbits of interesting Rogue One information that slipped through the cracks have been discovered. Better late than never with this kind of stuff. This one is kind of a big one: Mads Mikkelsen says he is not a bad guy in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story when talking to ekstrabladet.dk:
“No, my character is actually not a bad guy, and then I can not say more,” says Mads Mikkelsen, who remains in Denmark until the filming of the new Star Wars film starts in mid-September.
Mikkelsen then goes on to say his role is vital and important. That lines up rather well with our recent story about his relation to main character.
When Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was shooting in Iceland, the production code name was “True North.” Reportedly the locations used were Hjörleifshöfði and Hafursey, the location used for Noah.
Roads to and from the location have been blocked, and True North has declined to comment on the matter altogether.
I think I may have seen part of the film crew last Thursday (unless it was another film crew) along Route 1 between Vik and Jökulsárlón. There was a big blue and white truck with a satellite parked a ways back on the north side of Route 1 with cameramen and other people milling about. I didn’t see any actors.
