Rian Johnson posted some new behind the scenes images from the set of Star Wars: Episode VIII earlier this afternoon on his Tumblr. That Trooper standing next to a crew member looks to be a First Order Gunner to me, and obviously that’s a X-Wing in the other photo. Rian also gives a update to how much they have filmed:

“I can’t believe we’re halfway through the shoot. (We’re halfway through the shoot!)”

I would image Episode VIII will wrap up filming around August time.
