In every Star Wars film we have seen thus far, there is always a time jump between the films. Today it has been confirmed by Rian Johnson that there will be no time gap between The Force Awakens and Episode VIII. We all figured as much but it is cool to hear official confirmation on it. This was all talked about during the Future Filmmakers panel at Star Wars Celebration Europe.
