The Movie Bit has a GIF of the real Chewbacca visiting a school in Ireland.

Chewie came from the Ceann Sibeal set proving that without doubt, the big walking carpet is indeed in town.

Movie Bit theorizes–probably correctly–that it is not Peter Mayhew but rather Joonas Suotamo, Chewie’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens double. So if we have Chewbacca showing up to a school in the area, the reports that Chewbacca was on the set make sense.

Today we also have photos of activity out at the Star Wars: Episode VIII set at Dunmore Head. The photos are not full of detail but you can see the black figures are out there on the mountain today.
