USA Today has shared the first excerpt from Timothy Zahn’s forthcoming Star Wars novel Thrawn. This will be the first canon book exploring the Grand Admiral. I’m interested in checking the book out as it will be the first long-form offering that lets us get into what Thrawn has going on compared to Star Wars Rebels‘ depiction of the character (in which there is a lot less time to explore his potential complexities).

In the excerpt Thrawn outlines the greatest threat to his people and Palpatine’s Empire and it isn’t who you would think. I will give Thrawn this one–he’s totally right!
