As we all know, Yoda’s voice appears in Rey’s force vision in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. But The Force Awakens editor Maryann Brandon confirms that we were actually supposed to see Yoda in The Force Awakens. Check out what she told ET Online:

“There was one point where we were actually thinking of having Yoda in the film, and then we decided not to. Frank Oz came in for a day and did a whole bunch of Yoda and he was over the moon to do it — and we were tickled pink!”

While it would have been cool to see Yoda’s Force ghost, it makes sense if they were to use him in Episode VIII if Rey trains to be a Jedi.
