Recently, John Boyega spoke with Vogue magazine and opened up about the Episode VIII script. Check out the quote from Boyega:

“It’s great. Much darker, but we’re very excited.”

I considered The Force Awakens to be one of the darkest Star Wars films, so it’ll be interesting to see what elements will play into Episode VIII to make it more dark. I would assume stuff with Kylo Ren is going to start to turn into one of the darkest stories in all of Star Wars.

That is pretty insightful to the way they’re going to handle Finn in VIII.
